DIMAPUR, MAY 30 (NPN) | In yet another setback to NPF, 22 office-bearers of its Mon division have resigned from both active and primary membership of the party on Thursday and joined NDPP.

In a letter addressed to NPF president Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, the office-bearers said they had waited for over a month for a response to their declaration of non co-operation and action against Mon division president and general secretary.

They said that since the party leadership failed to respond to their request, under the circumstances, they were left with no option but to resign from active and primary membership of NPF and join NDPP under the leadership of Chingwang Konyak and chief minister Neiphiu Rio.

The 22 office-bearers who resigned included– senior vice president CH Yanboh, VPs– Longshah, Menlei and Langphong, secretaries– Yati, Yeangshong; youth wing president Khongwang, youth wing vice president Temlei, youth wing secretary Wangting, women’s wing president Menching, women’s wing VPs– Tangam and Yahoi, women’s wing secretary Ngipsho, women’s wing adviser Pheangmeth, farmers’ wing president Mennyei, farmers’ wing VP Nahlem, farmers’ wing secretaries– Enyei, Manje and Chingkap, divisional VP Nokho and advisers Hoka and Wanlong.
