BJP president Amit Shah has said that by undoing all the harms done by Okram Ibobi led Congress government, Manipur is becoming a new model state in the country under BJP Government.

Amit Shah stated this while addressing an election rally of outer Manipur parliamentary candidate, Benjamin Mate, at Komdompokpi ground in Thoubal district.

Amith Shah maintained that prices of essential commodities skyrocketed under Congress regime owing to frequent bandh and blockades. “Manipur witnessed the longest blockade in the world which lasted for 160 days under Congress Government”, he said.

But, Manipur today has become a bandh-free state under Chief Minister N. Biren led BJP Government, he said. “If Biren can achieve such a fete there is no doubt BJP will win the two parliamentary seats of Manipur. All this is possible due to unflinching support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, he added.

Under former Chief Minister of Manipur, Okram Ibobi Singh all the resources of the state including the Loktak Lake traded. Moreover, he also incited hatreds between brothers leading to the divide of Hills and Valley, alleged Amit Shah.

Fortunately, BJP has undone all the harms done by the Congress, he asserted adding that the state now is moving ahead towards development.

Highlighting some of the achievements of the Party, Amit Shah maintained that BJP Government has constructed of 300 km long road, helicopter services, expansion of cargo terminal at the Imphal Airport etc.

The gap between Hills and Valley has also been bridged by Chief Minister N. Biren’s “Go to Hill and Go to Village” programmes, said Shah.

The BJP president Amit Shah has also promised that the Imphal-Jiribam railway, which could not be completed by NDA government during its 10 years rule, will be completed by 2021. Moreover,

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has expressed his confidence that BJP will comfortably win both the parliamentary seats of Manipur.

People are aware of the inclusive vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inclusive vision “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas”, said Biren Singh.

BJP Ministers, MLAs, Rajya Sabha MP, Bhabananda, party workers and both the candidates contesting the election attended the rally.
