UKHRUL| Sep 9: The Seventh Economic Census 2019 was launched today by Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Joseph Pauline Kamson at a programme held at DRDA Hall, Ukhrul.
The exercise is being carried out by ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Department of Economics and Statistics in association with CSC E-Governance Service India Limited.
Speaking on the occasion, TC appealed the supervisors and enumerators to collect the correct information by visiting every doorstep so as to make proper planning for the future. While urging the enumerators to interview each and every individual business activities and collect detail and accurate data in order to reflect the real economic conditions of the country Joseph Pauline stated that the country needs to progress and the people are progressing with government implementing various programmes to uplift the conditions of the common people. “Definitely peoples’ livelihood, standard of living and economic power should be increased, and this exercise is important and a challenge for taking our nation to a new level” he added.
The DC also mentioned that the District Level Committee will be meting every week to monitor the process and progress of the exercise.
District manager, CSC UDeGS, Vareingam Ramrak further stated that a three-month time beginning from September has been given to complete the whole exercise while a total of 130 enumerators and 30 supervisors have been recruited for the said exercise.
