The intending candidate of Naga People’s Front (NPF) party for the ensuing 17th Lok Sabha election, Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze, in a political campaign today at Talui, Ukhrul stated that he would respect and work for the rights and privilege and for the development of every community. “In case of any differences, I will work to bring about solution” he asserted.
“Though I am running as an NPF candidate, I will work for the Nagas as well as for the cause of the tribals,” stated Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze.
He urged the voters of Tamui to let this election be non-communal and non-partisan and to give their vote without corruption, without selling votes but with clear conscience.
MLA of Chingai, Khashim Vashum, who was also present at the event calls for unity and appealed to the gathering to vote for NPF candidate Dr. Lorho S Pfoze a “man of calibre and God fearing man”.
Lorho on his way back to Imphal had a brief stopover and met villagers at Phalee, Teinem and Ringui. The villagers gathered at their respective villages and displayed their support for him while Chingai MLA Khashim Vashum stayed back and held a series of meeting back to back till evening campaigning for Lorho at the villages.
Hundreds of villagers from Talui and neighbouring villages attended the said campaign. Members of ADC Ukhrul, Kapangpam Zimik and Thuingahan Pheirim, headman of Talui, leaders from neighbouring villages also attended the campaign programme.
