DELHI, APRIL 6 (MExN): A Naga is among the 18 candidates from North East states to have cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination 2018-19.
Dr. L Angshim Dangshawa Maring secured All India Rank 517 in his first attempt. A total number of 759 candidates have been recommended for appointment in Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services.
The Naga Students’ Union, Delhi (NSUD) congratulated him on successfully clearing the highly competitive all-India civil services examination.
Dr. L Angshim Dangshawa Maring is from the Maring Naga community and hails from Kangoi Khullen village, Chandel district, Manipur.
“Through your sheer dedication, determination and commitment, you have brought a great acclaim to our society,” a press release from NSUD stated today. It added, “Through hard work and dedication you have indeed given hope to many Nagas residing across the globe and inspired us to follow your footsteps.”
The Union informed that Dr. Maring even cleared the MBBS in his first attempt.
With his “outstanding personal performance towards our people, the Nagas shall ultimately reach to greater heights,” the NSUD maintained.
Setting an example for all Naga youth in the field of education in general and in Civil Services in particular, the NSUD acknowledged his endeavors and wished Dr. Maring good luck for his journey ahead.
