Jwensinle Kesen and Puleno Neikha from Nagaland will be a part of the Indian Sepaktakraw team for the 18th Asian Games to be held at Jakarta and Palembang in Indonesia from August 18.
Jwensinle, a product of State Sports Girls Hostel, Dimapur, will be featuring in the team as a player while Puleno will lead the team as Indian women sepaktakraw coach, said Nagaland Sepaktakraw Association general secretary, Holshe Khrieo in a press release. Jwensinle is currently employed as a constable in the SSB and Puleno Neikha is a Sepaktakraw instructor in Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland
It may be mentioned here that in 2010, Viseyie Koso became the first Naga sportsman to represent India at the Asian Games held in China. At the 17th Asian Games in 2014 in Korea, Koso and Keneileno Nakhro along with Nagaland Sepaktakraw coach, Holshe Khrieo represented the Indian Sepaktakraw team.
Naga Olympian Chekrovolu Swuro had represented India in the 14th and 15th Asian Games at Busan and Doha.
