Guwahati, July 25: A couple hailing from Assam was found dead in their rented house at Panaji, Goa on Tuesday morning, say reports.
Rimpi (22) and her husband Srimanta Borah (31) had been living in Goa for the past two years and reports say it is a case of suspected suicide. Rimpi’s body was found lying dead on a bed and her husband, Srimanta’s body was found hanging when Panaji police reached the scene.
Reports say no signs of struggle were visible on the woman while the husband was found with a few injury marks. Based on preliminary inquiry, it is being suspected to be a case of suicide and the wife is suspected to have consumed poison, say reports.
Panaji Police have informed that their bodies have been sent for autopsy and the actual cause of death would only be determined after the postmortem reports were out.
The wife Rimpi was employed in a shopping mall near the TB Hospital where the husband Srimanta worked as a security guard, say reports. Their rented house was located near the TB Hospital at St Inez in Panaji.
