MOREH | Sept 8 : Drugs worth Rs. 10 lakh were seized by Anti-Drugs Abuse Campaign Committee (ADACC) Moreh during its drive conducted at several areas of the border town, Moreh in the past few days.
The seized drugs were today brought to the office of Hill Tribal Council where community leaders of Moreh held a function on drugs.
Several leaders at the function expressed that the drive being conducted by ADACC with the goal to protect the lives of youths who are prone to temptations of drugs, and to prohibit the selling and use of drugs, is worthy of praise. The committee also appealed all the work for the common cause without having any bias towards any religion, caste or creed.
Many youths have fallen to the clutch of substance abuse, and causing roadway accident and increase in the rate of criminal activities, it was stated in the function. The committee also appealed all to extend support in the drive.
The seized WY tablets, Heroine powder and other related drug paraphernalia were disposed with fire at the campus of the building by the community leaders in front of the public.~IFP
