Guwahati/New Delhi, July 25: In a sensational incident, a human foetus was reportedly recovered from the lavatory of an Air Asia flight that had flown from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati at 12:50 pm on Wednesday.
The flight had landed around 3:30 pm at New Delhi International Airport.
After landing, the passengers were not allowed to deplane for around 45 minutes following which the airline authorities declared about the recovery of the foetus from one of the lavatories on the aircraft.
Around 40-50 female passengers who are on board the flight were then asked to stay inside the aircraft while the men were let to deplane at a later stage.
Medical examination of the female passengers is going on, as this report is being filed. A police team also has arrived at the spot, according to reports. An official statement from the flight authorities is still awaited.
ATDC Chairman, Jayanta Malla Baruah was also present on the same flight.
