IMPHAL | Jun 7 : The High Court of Manipur has directed the duly authorised officer of Manipur Public Service Commission to appear before the registrar (judicial) of the court and open the box which contains the materials relating to interview and mark sheets of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination, 2005.
The direction was given as to verify whether all the answer sheets and interview sheets in the particular box was signed by all the members in the proceedings.
Boxes which contains mark sheets and answer sheets of examinations taken by MPSC has been in the custody of the high court.
The order was passed following a writ petition filed by one of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination, 2005 candidate, Atom Niroda Devi at Guwahati High Court, Manipur branch in September 2007, as she was not satisfied with her marks.
The single bench of the high court, chief justice, Ramalingam Sudhakar has further directed to produce the relevant papers before the court in a sealed cover on the next hearing which is listed on June 19.
Niroda, who has to look after two children, has lost her husband in 2011 and she is currently selling toys at the entrance of Manipur Zoological Garden, Iroisemba to run her family.~IFP
