Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio met Union home minister Rajnath Singh at New Delhi on Tuesday.
Rio was accompanied by his cabinet colleagues deputy chief minister Y Patton, minister S Pangnyu Phom, advisors-- Imnatiba, Kazheto Kinimi, adviser Dr Longriniken, State BJP president Visasolie Lhoungu, NPP general secretary Sasank Ghatraj and newly-elected Member of Parliament (MP), Lok Sabha Tokheho Yepthomi.
In the meeting held at North Block, Rio discussed issues pertaining to second helicopter services in Nagaland,
release of disaster management fund, modernisation of administration on the line of police modernisation in the State and early settlement of Naga political issue, besides emphasising the need for extra attention to develop ENPO region.
Phom supported the need for special attention to ENPO as stated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to Nagaland.
On his part, Patton claimed that law and order situation in the State was good. He also appealed for more financial assistance from the Centre.
Singh assured the delegation of maximum co-operation to the State by the Centre for all-round development.
