10:05 AM‘Road to London’ car rally flagged off from Imphal
IMPHAL | Apr 15 : The longest cross border road expedition of India, ‘Road to London, 2018’ organised by Adventures Overland will be flagged off on Monday at the complex of Hotel Classic Grande, Imphal by chief minister, N. Biren Singh.
A total of 26 individuals from different corners of the country and three organising members will take part in the expedition and 15 sport utility vehicles will be utilised for the expedition.
The longest expedition of India from Imphal to London will cover 18 countries, 16,000 kms in a span of 49 days.
It will be led by two avid travellers of the organiser company; Sanjay Madan, an off-road expert and Tushar Agarwal, a travel writer.
Local guides and escorts will be accompanying them in all the 16 countries.
The Thailand tourism department will be supporting the expedition by hoisting welcome flags and organising networking dinner with cultural dance and flag off ceremony in Imphal, and Tak and Chiang Khong, Thailand.
Briefing media persons today at Hotel Classic Grande, Imphal, Tushar Agarwal said the expedition will be the most memorable adventure of the participants.
Such opportunities of travelling 18 countries on road will be very rare as it does not only need money but also many due processes, he added.
Tusar continued the expedition will also give chances of cultural exchanges with others countries.~IFP
