With the target to create a vibrant and diverse startup ecosystem in northeast region, ‘Northeast Startup Summit 2019’, the biggest start up event in northeast India was held today at Hotel Imphal.
Northeast Startup Summit 2019 is a flagship startup event initiated by Imphal Angels, the 1st private ‘angel network’ in northeast India. ‘Imphal Angels’ provides early stage equity-based funds to innovative startups founded by tenacious entrepreneurs. Angels primarily focuses on founders from northeastern India building groundbreaking startups with light scalable business models and going after a large market. However, Angels also opted to invest in opportunities from all over India.
Angels co-founder, Fisher Laishram stated that with a vision to create a vibrant and diverse startup ecosystem in northeast India, Imphal Angels is organising the first summit of its kind, a startup summit to bring the various ecosystem players like aspiring entrepreneurs, startups, mentors, investors, VC funds and local industry to one common platform to promote entrepreneurship and build a robust startup and innovative ecosystem in the region.
The summit aims to provide opportunities to both the startups and the investors to interact and commence relationships that will nurture the most congenial and productive ecosystem beneficial to all the communities around northeast India.
Further, with the support of ecosystem partners, the summit aspires to bring a positive breakthrough to the prevailing status-quo of the startup ecosystem in the region thereby boosting an unstoppable and thriving environment for everyone to succeed.
On the summit, spot Angels funding, startup pitch competition, startup showcase, business networking were held. On the panel discussion, different successful entrepreneurs talked on different topics dealing with entrepreneurs and startups.
