Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): The disciplinary action committee of Naga People’s Front has served a show cause notice to 16 party functionaries for allegedly supporting a political opponent during the Lok Sabha elections.
An order issued on Tuesday directed the functionaries to reply within seven days why the party should not initiate disciplinary action against them. The list include (verbatim) Bendang Kejong, Secretary of Central; B Ramchi, Secretary, Farmers’ Wing Central; Chubala, Secretary, Women Wing Central; Hangba, CEC Member; P Chillio Khiam, Vice President, Tsg Div.; AB Sadang Chang, Vice President, Tsg Div; AI Along Chang, Vice president, Tsg Div.; B Shanglim Chang, Secretary, Tsg Div.; CZ Among Chang, Advisor, Tsg Div.; Amola Thungti, Vice President, Women Wing; Chubala Yim, Vice President, Women Wing; T Throngkhiamla, Vice President, Women Wing; Chingmak Akam, President, Youth Wing; Namang Sangbou, Vice President; I Langpong Chang, Vice President; and M Lachumong, General Secretary.
In a separate development, four NPF Central functionaries resigned from their membership on Tuesday. They also announced their decision to join the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party.
The NPF office bearers who resigned on Tuesday were Akang, Nokshom Konyak, Honpha Konyak and Kapwang Konyak.
